Why is it important?
Understanding of the events workforce is important because events have a number of unique characteristics that define the profile of the event workforce: 1) a highly heterogeneous workforce, 2) high functional and contract-based heterogeneity, 3) operate within a temporary, project-based structure, 4) high fluctuation of employees. Understanding knowledge sharing is important because it is 1) the key to the success of any knowledge management activities 2) there is an ongoing debate on why some organizations manage knowledge sharing well, while others fail, 3) people at work have specific individual roles and ideas as to why and why not to share or prevent their knowledge
