Challenges, Rewards, and Digital Aspects in Establishing Macau’s First Regional Biobank

What is it about?

Macau is a special administrative region of China, and as such provides a bridge between the mainland China and the international community. There has been an extensive effort to diversify its economy and promote the development of medical and innovative technologies. The current article presents the opportunities, challenges and digital aspects that exist and how they can be addressed and/or leveraged towards the development of future medical research infrastructures, such as biobanks, driving forward the development of medical and innovative technologies.
