What is it about?

The new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) requires each Member State to design a national CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) to deliver operational actions under the two CAP pillars. Each CSP must be built on an evidence-based needs assessment. The CSP is intended to allow MSs to make specific choices in response to national needs. The aim of this contribution is twofold: to highlight the efforts made with respect to EU strategic objectives and to assess the coherence and consistency of budget allocation against MSs’ Strategic Statements.
