What is it about?

Tacrolimus is a calcineurin inhibitor commonly used to prevent rejection after kidney transplantation. Calcineurin inhibitors are vasoconstrictors. Cerebral vasoconstriction can decrease in cerebral blood flow and affect cognitive function. In this pilot study, we tested if lowering the dose of tacrolimus improves cerebral blood flow and cognitive function.
