What is it about?
Closely related and Black living kidney donors who are acceptable by current testing protocols are at increased risk of postdonation genetic kidney diseases. These diseases may contribute to significant long term ESKD risks. The evolving field of genetic testing involves new complexities in donor selection but shows promise in clarifying risk.
