What is it about?
For a classification to be of value, it must show an adequate level of reproducibility. The Oxford Classifiication for IgA nephropathy is widely used but systematic review of reproducibility has only recently been examined. While single center studies show moderate to high levels of reproducibility, multicenter studies have struggled in this area. Increasing education of renal pathologists, encouraging consultation and consensus in challenging cases, and the use of emerging technology such as artificial intelligence may help improve reproducibility.
