What is it about?
We review the scientific literature on the use of cell phones for pregnant women in low and middle income countries. The 15 studies that met our criteria all suggested cell phones could help in reducing delays.

Why is it important?
A high number of pregnant and delivering women die or suffer serious health problems in the developing world. Many newborns and infants also die or suffer from complications. Much of these health problems can be avoided or reduced if help is given in time.
