What is it about?
Scaling-up should be understood as taking a process from laboratore scale (small size), pilot sclae (medium size), industrial scale (large size) and achieving the same final product characteristics. This work studies numerically the sacle-up and control of the acrylamide polymerization proces in solution.

Why is it important?
The work focuses on macroscopical parameters that involve the sale-up process and control in industrial reactors. The resuts show that increasing the heat transfer areaincreases the efficiency of the polymerization process.
Perspectives
This work proposes a tool that serves as a guide to scale-up processes with chemical reaction and operation control.
