Nanomedicine Against Aβ Aggregation by β–Sheet Breaker Peptide Delivery: In Vitro Evidence

What is it about?

We developed novel nanoparticles able to deliver a peptide into the brain. The study is the initial charaterisation of the new nanocarriers and evaluates safety, toxicity, and effects. We could also show an effect of the peptide on Alzheimer’s disease pathology in vitro. Plaque formation was significantly inhibited, and neurodegeneration reduced.
