What is it about?
In this thorough literature review we identified: Who are the actors involved in children's digital fabrication and making projects? What are their roles and responsibilities? What empirical studies are conducted in different contexts (formal, non-formal and informal)? How participants' interaction order and historical body are playing role in the studies?

Why is it important?
Our study reveals the neglected interaction order and historical body aspects as well as challenges related to children's digital fabrication and making projects. And, we recommend best practices for the researchers engaging in the making projects with children. 49 empirical studies (actual workshops/courses with children) from around the world are included and analyzed in this work. Nexus analysis is utilized for an in-depth understanding of the activities and led to the identification of diverse aspects.
