What is it about?

A paradox on requirement of ATP by DnaA for opening of oriC by in vitro systems is dicussed:oriC is opened by some dnaAts mutants without ATP binding site in vivo and DnaA can open oriC without ATP in particular in vitro experiments. We may speculate the existence of hyperstrucure in vivo around DnaA .

Why is it important?

The results obtained from in vitro experiments indicate the ATP requirement for oriC opening by DnaA.Then how dnaAts mutant lost ATP binding site can open oriC in vivo.

Perspectives
