What is it about?

People living with hepatitis C virus have a high risk of developping metabolic disorders such as diabetes. Those disorders and their accumulation constitute risk factors for liver disease progression. Some of those risks may persist after hepatitis C virus cure. We found that people with hepatitis C virus who used cannabis had lower risks of having diabetes, obesity, and hypertension.
