Why is it important?
Our synthesis suggests that dietary patterns with a low consumption of fish, fruits, and vegetables, and high in fast food, sausages, and soft drinks have been linked to poor cognition and academic achievement among youth. Low levels of physical activity may also be a risk factors for suboptimal cognitive and academic performance.
