No previous studies claimed the mechanism about why ALS is associated with cancers. In this paper, aberrant gene expression profiles is a key that bridges between ALS and cancers.
Perspectives
I have used the previously proposed principal component analysis based unsupervised feature extraction by my own which has ever been applied to various bioinformatic problems.
