Why is it important?

Candidiasis is a huge problem in immune-compromised individuals. This infection is caused by different Candida sp., of which Candida albicans is the most common one. Several anti-fungals are used to treat these infections, however, Candida sp. have evolve resistance. The present study provides a summarized version of all know resistance mechanisms to date.

Perspectives

I hope this article provides a reader with up-to-date knowledge of the anti-fungal drug resistance mechanism in a single place rather than looking into hundreds of different research articles..
