What is it about?
A domain decomposition method: combined finite element (fine mesh) and finite difference convergence (coarse mesh) analysis and implementations for a model problem for the Maxwell equations in time domain. The model uses internal transfer edges, to define common regions where both FE and FD schemes are coincide.

Why is it important?
It singles out the singularities and makes automatic FEM analysis, while the regions of regularity are treated by the finite difference avoiding over-refinements.
