Why is it important?
This work validates that oxytocin redirects attentions to the eye region of the face in monkeys in the same way that it does in humans. Moreover this study illustrates the utility of designing tasks than can be deployed across species to develop robust, mechanistic models about how oxytocin contributes to social processing.
