What is it about?
Optimization of disinfection is essential to slow down the emergence of resistance. MICs are useful but assume that the doses do not depend on the inoculum. Here we develop a model that predicts the kill curves of E. coli together with Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC) decay. This allows optimizing the dose to minimize the residual BAC while assuring that the population is killed.
