What is it about?
Environmental sustainability has taken a back seat in many developed nations and more emphasis placed on economic growth. This notion has to change. There's an urgent need to take immediate steps to address climate change and its repercussions in order to achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (Ahmad et al. 2021).

Why is it important?
The health implications of high mortality rates caused by environmental pollution, as well as the spread of lethal diseases among ordinary citizens living near industrial zones, are disheartening and can no longer be dismissed as a minor issue (Amoah & Addoah, 2021).
