The paper presents preliminary findings of a study that concentrates on investigating the practice of teaching and learning information literacy in upper secondary schools in Vietnam.

Why is it important?
There is a great body of research from both practitioners and academics around the world such as USA, Australia, UK, Africa and some countries in the Far East. However, there is a lack of IL studies in the Vietnamese context. Therefore, this research will address the gap by investigating the practice of IL teaching and learning in Vietnamese upper secondary schools.
