What is it about?
Literature review about vulnerable communication in subjects with ALS, whose objective was to carry out a survey of published studies about the theme in the last five years. The article elicit the discussion about the importance of using alternative communication systems, especially high technology.

Why is it important?
The subjects with ALS present a speech disorders, characteristic of the disease, leaving it in a vulnerable situation, since it causes the same loss of autonomy, interferes with the functionality of communication and distances it from social interaction with other people. Discussing this issue becomes increasingly important in order to elicit therapeutic strategies in relation to communication that can improve their quality of life.
