Why is it important?
In this study, we sought to address the important problem of misleading and unverified information, especially in the form of parody news and rumors, which, if not swiftly discovered, have the potential to hurt. A specialized dataset of real and parodied tweets from Pakistan and India was produced in order to solve this issue. Through this study, we suggest a technique for quickly spotting spoof tweets to lessen their negative consequences.
Perspectives
It is vital to be concerned about the problem of fake and parody news and how it affects both people and society as a whole. This problem is addressed by the current study, which focuses on the identification of parody tweets referring to the Pakistan and India region. A special dataset generated especially for this study was created to accomplish this goal. This dataset is now accessible in a way that was not possible before. We anticipate that the findings of this study will help in identifying genuine tweets and so limit the dissemination of incorrect information. The suggested approach can be used by various fact-checking organizations to confirm the veracity of tweets and prevent the spread of false information.
