What is it about?

The article discusses the principles of the ideographic description of the phraseological system of Russian. We describe the main stages of our research project on Russian phraseology. One of the stages of this project was the creation of thesauri of Russian idioms. We consider various aspects of the ideographic description of idioms. Our idiom thesauri presented in the given paper fix paradigmatic relations between idioms. From this point of view, they can be regarded as a kind of semantic network. A more complete lexicographic representation of the Russian phraseology should include all the variety of relations between idioms in language and speech.
