Lay Summary: This study develops a family empowerment model for people living with HIV/AIDS in Indonesia and examines its impact on health-related quality of life (HRQL). Through quantitative and qualitative methods, including focus groups and expert discussions, the model was created and tested. Structural Equation Model Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis was used to evaluate the model's effectiveness. Results show that health services, patient factors, family factors, and empowerment significantly influence HRQL among HIV/AIDS patients. The developed model demonstrates the importance of family support and empowerment in improving HRQL for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
