What is it about?
We determine the intra- and interobserver reliability of this new classification system, and intorduce a system that allows the description of any possible implant constructs used in spine surgery in terms of rod configuration and density.

Why is it important?
Multi-rod constructs are nowadays commonly used in spine surgery and to date there is no way to describe these constructs in terms of rod configuration and number, i.e how many rods are used and how they are connected to each other.
