What is it about?
I am a member of the microwave group led by Prof. Dr. Zeki A. Ahmed. I received the B.Sc. degree in physics, M.Sc. degree in microwave antennas and Ph. D. degree in electromagnetic computations from University of Basrah, Basrah, Iraq, in 1995, 1999 and 2008, respectively. My main research interests are focused on Microwave Antennas, Microstrip Antennas, Electromagnetic Computations, Antenna Polarization, Antennas Array, Radar Cross Section, Health Effect from Exposure to Electromagnetic Radiation, and Auditory Brainstem Response. I worked as a visitor researcher in School of Life Science, Keele University from 10th March 2014 till 5th September 2017.

Why is it important?
Influence of electromagnetic field exposure on the micehippocampus Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) including mobile phone and wireless communication technology are widely used in the environment. However, the adverse effects of EMFs on the human health have expanded explosively over the past decades. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of EMFs on the mouse hippocampusat behaviorual, cellularand molecular levels. The hippocampusis a small organ located in the brain, which is particularly important in regulating emotions, behaviour, motivation, and memory functions.
