What is it about?
Bisphenol A or BPA is used in the preparation of plastic and epoxy resins. We have shown that BPA can be turned into a radical in the presence of hydrogen peroxide/peroxide system. If BPA can be triggered by reactive oxygen species, it will lead to chain propagation reactions and oxidative stress.

Why is it important?
The scavenging activity of BPA radical is shown for the first time. Direct evidence evidence to show BPA induce oxidative stress.
