What is it about?
This paper examines the use of Aristotelian and Stoic syllogistic in the Anonymous Commentary on Plato’s “Theaetetus”. It shows that Aristotelian syllogistic is used as a tool for reconstructing arguments in the Platonic text, whereas Stoic syllogistic is employed as a polemical tool against the Stoics.
