What is it about?

The article outlines a new political ontology based on the idea that human beings have a genuine relationship to that which is beyond being and yet is not nothing. It shows how we can transcend what is, including ourselves, so that everything takes on hyperbolic meaning, and how this also empowers us politically.

Why is it important?

Human beings have always been subject to domination, both personal and impersonal. This article argues that there are ontological reasons why we can emancipate ourselves from this.

Perspectives

The main idea is to infuse politics with a hyperbolic transcendence. This is unusual, but it may also prove to be all-transforming.
