What is it about?

This is a book review of Dmitar Tasić’s new book about paramilitaries in the Balkans in the early 20th century. I find that Tasić did an excellent job of explaining to both experts and laypeople the process of paramilitarism and it’s development over that period.

Perspectives

Reading and reviewing this book was a real pleasure. It helped me to contextualize my PhD thesis which I was completing during the review process of this book, while also shedding light on an under-researched and not well known topic.
