What is it about?
Laser interferometry offers a powerful tool to measure density fluctuations in a variety of flow fields. In particular, a technique called focused laser differential interferometry (FLDI) is becoming more popular in hypersonic experiments. This work computationally studies that technique to better understand the effect of various signal parameters on FLDI measurements.
