What is it about?
Airfoil design has been relatively stagnant in the last few decades. We develop a method to design a new airfoil with co-flow jet (CFJ) and a micro-compressor to energize the airflow and improve aerodynamic performance. This paper shows that this new airfoil can be used at different cruise flight conditions and maintain high compressor efficiency.
