What is it about?

This work proposes a visual cueing for the pilot in a fixed-based simulator which provides indication of the level of vibration in the cockpit produced by his command input in a flexible aircraft.

Why is it important?

We introduce in the fixed-based simulator an visual indication of the vibration in the cockpit due to pilot command. This is important in an aircraft which has aeroelastic dynamics interacting with the rigid body dynamics. In a fixed-based simulator there is no motion cueing for the pilot about how much vibration is produced in the aircraft due his command. This cueing provides a way to evaluate how the pilot respond change if he has some feedback about the effect of his command in the cockpit.
