What is it about?
Flow separation in the air-intakes of supersonic aircraft can degrade the flight performance. In this work we investigate using CFD the effects of a passive control device - a slotted vortex generator - on the control of flow-separation in a realistic scaled down intake geometry. Tobe specific, we try to find the best position of the device in the inlet in the presence of the sidewall effects.
