What is it about?
Prandtl number in a high speed flow varies as a function of temperature, pressure and composition of the gas. We study how this variation in Prandtl number can effect the stability of high Mach number flows.

Why is it important?
We find that for a high Mach number boundary layer flow, increasing the momentum diffusivity compared to thermal diffusivity can significantly destabilize the flow.
