What is it about?
We propose a new ramp-type vortex generator that has a slot running though it. This device is numerically investigated for supersonic flows with and without an impinging oblique shock. Comparison with the standard vortex generator indicates that the device induces higher near-surface speeds downstream of its trailing edge compared to the baseline device and has lower drag.
