What is it about?
The powder particles are considered as metal spheres connected by necks formed by soldering.

Why is it important?
There is a lack of effective thermal conductivity models based on the geometry of the powder from which the sintered porous media is made. These models are necessary for the design of evaporators of loop heat pipes for instance.
