Subsonic Jet Noise Prediction in Near and Far Field with Optimized Wave-Packet Approach

What is it about?

A reduced-order model for jet noise prediction is obtained using a wave-packet approach. A multi-objective optimization approach is employed to obtain the wave-packet parameters from large-eddy-simulations of the jet, minimizing the difference between the predicted and simulated pressure perturbations at several radial distances, both in the near and far field.
