What is it about?
Blade-wake interaction noise caused by perpendicular blade-vortex interactions between rotor blades was studied in this work. An optimal prediction model was identified using machine learning methodology and was used to characterize this blade-wake interaction noise subject to varying inputs related to geometric parameters and operating conditions. Three types of blade-wake interaction noise were discovered and a prediction modeling framework was established for further modeling efforts.
