What is it about?
When turbulent flows interact with solid surfaces like planes, ships, or wind turbines, it generates noise and vibrations that are undesirable and sometimes dangerous. Predicting this phenomenon is difficult owing to the complexity of the involved physics. We assess the performance of existing models in a variety of conditions and propose new ideas and methods for improving prediction in the future.
