What is it about?
Laminate composite shells structures have become the standard for high-performance application in transportation industry. The discontinuous Galerkin method is a strategy to characterize the mechanical behavior of this type of structures accurately and efficiently. In this work, the discontinuous Galerkin method is employed to investigate the buckling phenomenon that occurs when the loads on the structure generate a compressive stress field.
