What is it about?

In hypersonic vehicle design, one of the main criteria is the low weight requirement, which leads to flexible (also known as compliant) structures that deform in flight. This work studies the structural deformations, their local aerodynamic characteristics and the coupling mechanism between the structure and airflow.
