What is it about?
Aircraft optimisation for reduced drag needs to consider fluid-structure interactions. We show that the speed the numerical simulation of the fluid-structure interaction can be negtively affected by the mesh deformation algorithms. A hybrid approach is proposed to speed up the process significantly.
