Jet Installation Noise Modeling in Static and Flight Conditions Using Centerline Fluctuations

What is it about?

The noise generated by a turbulent jet significantly increases when the jet is located close to a wing of an aircraft. We show for the first time how this extra-noise can be estimated based on the velocity measurements performed on the jet axis in the absence of the wing.
