What is it about?
Large-eddy simulations of jet flow can be used to predict the far field noise, though recent measurements of Military aircraft jet noise differ from those predicted by these simulations. This paper studies the coherence calculated between different points in the large-eddy simulation, what it tells us about the physics of the flow, and discusses similarities and differences from previous work on full-scale aircraft.
