What is it about?
Considering the accelerating global interest in lean combustion technology owing to its low nitrogen oxide emissions and high combustion efficiency, in-depth exploration of combustion noise radiated from a lean reactive flowfield is of critical importance. This paper experimentally shows for the first time how global/local flame behaviors affect spectral characteristics on direct combustion noise using spectral proper orthogonal decomposition.
