What is it about?
Laminar-flow stabilizing measures in three-dimensional boundary layers that are based on steady control vortices may suffer from unwanted low-frequency noise that degrades the control effectiveness. We elucidate the fundamental mechanisms, and propose actuator setups that diminish this effect significantly.
