What is it about?
The FishBAC is a camber morphing device that has shown promising results in terms of drag reduction. It is an alternative to traditional hinged control surfaces, such as ailerons, and their use could potentially reduce fuel consumption and noise in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This article introduces a computer model (simulation) that is capable of predicting the structural behavior of a composite FishBAC device.
