What is it about?
As sound waves travel along a circular duct, they not only travel in a straight line, but they can also spin and form bullseye shapes. These different shapes are called acoustic modes. It is important to understand how a device designed for sound absorption affects these modes. In this paper, we present a method for measuring acoustic modes and characterizing the performance of the device.
