What is it about?
Filtered Rayleigh scattering (FRS) is a laser-based method to measure density, temperature, pressure, and gas velocity of flows and gases. This work presents a comprehensive model to understand the behavior of the FRS signal as these quantities change and make the signal not change with temperature, but change with pressure only. Both a theoretical model and experimental results are presented to lend validity to the idea put forth by the paper.
